This board is awesome. A lovely upgrade from the 850. The vrm’s allow for stable over locking. I hit cpu thermal limit on the cpu long before the vrm gets hot. I had issues with the board booting so fast that I couldn’t get into bios. However if you spam del on power up it will force bios. The board came with the very first bios revision which was disappointing as it can be a pill when jumping five or six revisions on a flash. I will recommend to use the flash function on the board as mflash is an issue with the motherboard loading video after you pass the window of opportunity to engage bios. Just make sure to follow the steps properly to use the flash button. If you do it is a seamless effort. This board, even on the first revision, took my 9800x3d, PNY 5070ti and 32g teamforce cl38 delta just fine. Whatever memory you use, be sure to engage expo in bios as the board will default at a lower speed. Once I enabled this my memory hit x6000 easily and without issue. I know that’s a lot and sounds problematic but trust me this board is a savage, especially at this price point.

got this for my 9700x and i didn’t wanna spend too much and sacrifice looks. this one fit my criteria. Easy to install and feels like it is great quality for the price. It comes with plenty of usb ports (2 type c) which is more than enough for me, along with 3 m.2 ssd ports and ram can go up to 8200 Mt when overclocked

Got this board installed in my new pc build. I had a very difficult time with the bios during setup. First of all, you need to flash bios to current version otherwise you will not be able to install windows. Had a very difficult time trying to get the board to access flash drive to update bios. In my situation, I cannot set my ram to stock speed for and or board will become unstable and won’t boot having to clear cmos to startup again. I would try other brands and avoid this board if at all possible possible. This may be ok for experienced builders but definitely not for rookies. Too expensive for all the headache it brings!

I bought the 870 MoBo for a 9800x3d use , nice reliable as Msi always is. With all the feature I needed . Pricing wise is good under $250 just what I needed
